            The Zagdu Singh Charitable Trust was created by the Thakur Family out of the sense of responsibility of repaying the social debt. The Trust was formed and registered as a Public Charitable Trust at Mumbai in March 1995. The benevolent objectives of the Trust as laid down in the Bye laws are advancement of Education & Medical Relief.

The trust has under its governance many educational institutions, namely            

          Thakur Polytechnic (TPoly)

          Thakur College of Engineering & Technology (TCET)

          Thakur Public School (TPS),

          Thakur Institute of Management Studies & Research (TIMSR),

          Thakur Institute of Career Advancement (TICA),

          Thakur Institute of Aviation Technology (TIAT),          

          Thakur International School (TIS).
